Technical data

Metal tile sealing products are fabricated from polyethylene (EPE) made in Romania and EU, obtained by chemical expansion, with a closed cellular structure. Raw materials made in RO are licensed for expanded polyethylene under no. 002-03/320-2003.

Main features:

  • relatively compact and dense mass, with small cells
  • flexible and resistant
  • heat resistance (without distortion at high temperature variations)
  • resistance to different atmospheric condition
  • thermal insulation
  • dust protection

The importance of sealing elements for metal tile roofing

Sealing elements are important factors in order to correctly install the sheet metal tile, regardless of manufacturer. Their installation is important both in the ridge area and the eave area, in order to achieve a proper roof ventilation and to prevent condensation. Their absence can cause multiple problems that can create additional costs after a short period time after the roof system assembly.

They have an important contribution to the resistance of the roof system to atmospheric agents and structural changes of the building, but also contribute to the sustainability of roofing joints. For this reason, the correct sealing elements necessary must be specified early in the design stage of the roof.

Properties for metal tile sealing profiles:

  • wind protection (eg. prevent water infiltration through the ridge area during storms)
  • noise protection
  • reduction of heat transfer (loss)
  • healp prevent electrical circuits malfuction due to water infiltration (there is a possibility that infiltrated water or that resulted from snow melting might reach electrical circuits inside walls)
  • prevent bird nests
